It's not even about the money, it's how he treated paying customers. He was talking to me like a drill sergeant would talk to a private in the marines and to me, that's unacceptable and very inappropriate considering my situation.

I bought a day pass to stay with a friend until they shut the gates. Apparently, you have to pay for an additional visitors pass to go in the camp grounds (which I didn't know, nor did my friends who were camping know about this). We were abruptly visited by a park ranger and his partner after being in the grounds for 5 minutes. He bluntly told us that we can't be down there because we have the wrong pass and didn't tell us which pass we needed and we needed to always stop at the gate before going anywhere(even though I did stop to buy a day pass earlier).

First time, but definitely not the last time camping here. Quiet and very restful area.
We drove back to the gate and I asked the cashier if I could trade passes since I just bought the other one 10 minutes ago. He tells me to ask the ranger if I can work something out. I go to ask him and he asked me extremely disrespectfully, "what pass do you have?!" repeatedly, and I tell him day pass. Then he asked "how do you enter here!?" I responded that I suppose I needed a different pass. Then he goes on how it's posted that you need a visitors pass at the entrance. I ask him a simple question if he could show me the sign saying I need one because had I known, I would have gotten one. He looks around for a second and then goes off on me saying that I can't ask that question, and that I can't tell him how to enforce "his" rules. After yelling at me he threatens to kick my girlfriend and I out of the park if I don't pay for this pass(note I still have access to the lake with the day pass). After he was done screaming in my face I just decided to leave.
